STAR Group is a market leader in technical professional services in the field of consultancy, staffing/secondment and recruitment & selection, with an annual turnover of approximately EUR 170m. Sentijn will continue to operate as a separate business unit of the STAR Group. Quality and service provision can be expanded and optimised further with the additional knowledge and expertise of the STAR Group. As the board is being retained, the collaboration with engineers and clients remains unchanged.
The acquisition represents the next step in STAR’s diversification strategy, which is aimed at offering a wide range of technical/specialist services and project support to various industrial markets. This strategic acquisition will enable the STAR Group to take on a more prominent position in the construction and infrastructure sector.
International growth and development
STAR focuses on the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. ‘An important reason for growth is to continue offering our employees opportunities to develop themselves within their specialisms by diversifying further across the whole technical sector. In addition to growth, we are focusing on continual development of the quality of our services and the quest for innovative ideas and projects to make the work more appealing to specialists and to organise our processes more efficiently for our clients.’ – According to Sil Hoeve, CEO, the STAR Group.
Sentijn was founded in 2012 and has experienced strong growth. The organization mainly focuses on HBO and WO engineers, within Infrastructure, Construction and Mechanical Engineering. Marijn Ligthart, Associate at Sentijn: “With the takeover by STAR, we can better serve our clients in a broad sense while maintaining the current level of abstraction.” Sentijn is characterised by a large degree of involvement in large (infrastructure) construction projects both within Engineering and Project management.
