Elektramat finds partner for further growth in Parcom

Elektramat and investment company Parcom have reached agreement on Parcom’s entry as shareholder in the online electrotechnical wholesaler. Founder Ruud Pierik and CEO Mike van Klaveren will remain committed with a significant shareholding in the company, with Mike van Klaveren to continue as CEO of Elektramat. Parcom will join as partner to support Elektramat in its (international) growth ambition.

Elektramat was founded in 2006 and is an online electrotechnical wholesaler and specialist in distribution boards and electrotechnical products. From its headquarter in Enschede, Elektramat’s 400 employees dispatch custom-made distribution boards and other products to B2B and B2C customers in the Benelux within 24 hours. Thanks to its differentiating product proposition, wide range of products and strong online platform, Elektramat has grown and professionalized rapidly over the past years. A second location of 36,000 square meters is currently being built in Almelo.

Elektramat has ambitious plans for the coming years, in which it aims to continue growth in the Benelux and to expand into other geographies. To facilitate this growth Elektramat has partnered with investment company Parcom.

Mike van Klaveren, CEO of Elektramat: “The long-term roadmap of Elektramat is focused on further growing Belgium and initiating growth into Germany and other European countries. In order for the company to be well prepared for the future and to ensure the right choices are made with respect to the international expansion, we have made the decision to partner with Parcom. From day one the conversations have been open, honest, constructive and pleasant, as well as with significant entrepreneurial vision. We are therefore very pleased with our new partner and look forward to expanding our business internationally together.”

Willem-Jan Merckel, Parcom: “We are impressed by the development that Elektramat has undergone in recent years and are proud to become a partner of Elektramat. The unique and differentiating configurators and assembly tools, the customer-oriented approach and the technical expertise of Elektramat offer great potential for further growth in the Benelux and in other geographies. We look forward to realizing this growth together with the Elektramat team.”

Financial details of the transaction will not be disclosed. The transaction is subject to approval by The Dutch Competition Authority (Autoriteit Consument & Markt).
