Euroma poised for further sustainable growth with strategic partner Marubeni Corporation

Marubeni Corporation (“Marubeni”), a diversified trading conglomerate from Japan, has acquired a significant minority stake in Euroma Holding B.V. (“Euroma”), a top-3 European company specialized in herbs and spices. Marubeni is a strategic partner, who has the intention to become 100% shareholder in due time and to facilitate Euroma’s further growth to deliver the most innovative products based on herbs and spices to leading international food partners.

Bert Bakker, CEO Euroma: “We see Marubeni’s interest in joining Euroma as a confirmation of the unique knowledge and expertise that Euroma offers in the development and creation of natural food solutions. In strong partnership with our shareholder Parcom since 2017, Euroma has grown into a leading European player with a state-of-the-art production facility. In Marubeni we have a new long-term strategic partner with whom we can further accelerate our international growth. With our brand new R&D and production center in Zwolle as a solid basis, this strategic combination offers plenty of opportunities for our customers and our employees.

Marco van Vliet, Parcom: It has been a pleasure to support Euroma on its growth trajectory since 2017. We reflect with pride on the milestones we have achieved together with management – from successfully integrating a key competitor to opening a truly impressive new facility in Zwolle. We believe Marubeni is fully committed to Euroma’s ambitions for the future and will be a valuable long-term partner for the company. Together with Marubeni we will do our utmost to support Euroma in the coming period”.
