    New shareholder for BN International

Value Enhancement Partners (“VEP”) is the new owner of BN International BV (“BNI”) after the company’s sale by a consortium of shareholders.

Roy Koning, CEO of BNI: “The current shareholders have a long relationship with the company and have provided the management with excellent support in fulfilling its plans. We would like to thank all shareholders for our satisfactory and pleasant collaboration.”

BN International, with its head office in Huizen, the Netherlands, is an innovation-driven company with a turnover of approximately € 85 million and 500 employees. Its main activities are the production and sale of ‘cover’ materials (such as for passports and printed matter) and ‘wall coverings’ (wallpaper). The company has production sites in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic and various sales and marketing offices in Europe.

The “Cover Materials” business unit is a global leader in cover materials for products such as diaries, photo albums, notebooks, books, packaging, document files, and passports, as well as base materials for sandpaper and print media applications. The “Wall Coverings” business unit has a unique global position with activities in both consumer wallpapers and project-based wallpapers for hotels, offices, and hospitals. In these markets, the BN brand is well-known for its fantastic, slightly eccentric, signature designs. These on-trend designs are also widely used for various Cover applications, where design is playing an increasingly significant role. Despite the challenging markets in many parts of the world in recent years, BN International has significantly increased its turnover thanks to its excellent positioning.

Koning continues: “BN International has developed a new strategy, which is linked to an extensive investment programme in Huizen. This significantly consolidates its already excellent competitive position, providing new growth potential. VEP has endorsed the new strategy and is the ideal partner for its successful implementation and that of the investment programme. Such substantial and complex business issues are VEP’s core expertise.”

Value Enhancement Partners (www.vepartners.com) is a leading independent investment company in the Benelux focusing on investments in medium-sized industrial companies. Value Enhancement Partners actively supports the companies in which it invests to help them achieve their ambitious strategic objectives.

BN International was one of Parcom Capital’s portfolio companies.
