Investment company Parcom Capital has taken a majority stake insurance company, TAF. This change will have no consequences for its operational management and employees, and TAF will continue to operate independently, out of Eindhoven, under the direction of managing director Nicole Hollander.
Parcom Capital is a Dutch private equity fund that focuses on investments in high-quality and leading companies in Benelux. Its recent investments include Simpel, Jan Snel, GoodHabitz, Euroma, ConDoor, and Viroclinics.
Opportunities for continued growth
“In recent years, we have independently developed into a leader in the Dutch insurance market in the field of term life insurance. TAF is ready for its next growth phase and has found an excellent partner in Parcom to enter this next phase,” says TAF’s Director Nicole Hollander.
Gijs Vuursteen, a partner at Parcom, is delighted with the investment in TAF. “TAF has more than 600,000 policyholders and is a market leader in the market of life insurance products. We are impressed by the market position TAF has built up over the years and see a bright future ahead. We are delighted to be able to support Nicole Hollander and her team in TAF’s continued growth,” says Vuursteen.
We expect to complete the acquisition in early 2019. The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) and the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) have yet to approve the transaction.
